Why do I need to wear elastics?
Elastics are an important part of your orthodontic treatment.

The fastest way to the finish line is to have good elastic wear right from the start!
I broke my bracket….what do I do?
Please let us know right away! We want to fix that for you ASAP. When your bracket is not attached to the tooth it can quickly and easily move. Frequently broken brackets will delay your treatment.
If the bracket or wire is sharp or bothering you then try applying ortho wax until we can see you.
What if I lose an aligner?
We recommend keeping your previous aligner as you move forward. This way if you do not have a new tray to change into you have a “back up”. Call or text the office to let us know and we can arrange to replace the lost aligner if needed.

How do I care for my retainer?
Caring for your retainers and wearing them as prescribed is crucial to maintaining the beautiful smile you’ve worked so hard for.
Remember...It’s night time for a lifetime!
While in full-time wear you should only be removing your retainers to eat and drink. When they are not in your mouth keep them safe in your case.
Brush and clean your retainers often.
Keep away from pets…dogs love to chew them!
Place and remove your retainers properly. Never “bite” them into the palace.
Contact the office ASAP if something is lost or broken. See us before your teeth start to move.
*ALWAYS BRING YOUR RETAINERS TO YOUR FOLLOW-UP APPOINTMENTS.
