Surgery
Surgical Orthodontics
Orthodontics is designed to reposition and straighten teeth but surgical orthodontics may be required to address more severe jaw and bite issues. In these situations, braces combined with orthognathic surgery are used to correct jaw position improving overall function and stability.
In a case where the malocclusion requires surgery, Dr. Stanley aligns the teeth in preparation for the oral surgeon to place the jaws in the proper position.
